I have written this article a week ago for some exams and it might be of your interest. I am just adding it to my blog now:

WHY GOD WANTS YOU TO BE HEALED AND NOT SICK

The prophet Isaiah has prophesied healing in Isaiah 53:12 which says “… and He bare the sin of many. And made intercession for the transgressors”. The Hebrew word for “to bare” here is Nasa.

Nasa means “to suffer punishment for something or somebody”. The same verb is applied on Leviticus 5:1 “and if a soul sin …. Then he shall bear ( Nasa ) his iniquity”.

Isaiah 53:4 says “Surely He hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem his stricken, smitten of GOD and afflicted.”  Here We have three Hebrew verbs: Makob, Nasa and Kholee.  Kholee comes from the Hebrew root Chalah that means to be week, sick or afflicted.

This word is translated as being infirmity in Deuteronomy 28:61; I Kings 17:17; 2 Kings 1:2; 2 Kings 8:8. Makob is translated as pain in Job 33:19a “He is chastened also with pain upon his bed…“ and Jeremiah 51:8b “… howl for her; take balm for her pain….” .

So when 1 Peter 2:24 witnesses what Isaiah had written on Isaiah 53:4 It definitely means That YOU ARE HEALLED not only from your spiritual diseases but also from your physical diseases!

5 loaves of Bread and 2 fish

What do you have to offer to GOD ? One single music to worship him ? One simple preaching concerning Psalm 91 ?
Or who knows but taking care of the kids garden at your church ? Is that all that you have to offer to GOD ? So that´s already TOO MANY!

People usually think “aw man .. I barely know of  how to handle with this stuff .. I better not do that.. God deserves the best”. Ok, He definitely deserves the best. But hey, you are GOD´S best! Everything that HE wants to use it´s you.

You don´t need to be an expert of the word to preach the gospel nor the best singer of a choir to provoke the hunger into other´s souls. You just need to offer yourself to GOD as a diligent usher in the frontline of his army and He will take care of the rest.

I remember of when I was at 14 years old and I was very seeking the Lord with my all strength. I was a new born Christian and I was very thirsty for GOD. I had turned my ways onto Christ when I was at 14.  And the church needed some ushers to help in the church. The majority of the ushers were over 40 to 50 years old but The Lord had commanded me to go.

Ushers in Brazil preach in conferences, clean the church, lay on of hands, rebuke the devil and pray over people´s lives daily and besides that, they take at least 3 days a weak for fasting and take at least 1 hour praying in the day and 1 hour praying in the night everyday.

I was kind of scary because I was so young comparing to others and I was afraid to feel myself rejected ( What really happened on that time – Because people tend to reject what is different and the unusual till u prove that you really are what you are )

Even knowing all those things, I have obeyed the Lord and got myself into the ushers’ ministries. That was very hard in the beginning by wearing ties and  sometimes suits at the age of 14. I remember that I was always sweating because I was always nervous seating there in the front of a congregation gathering over 300 people .

However, when we obey the Lord He always adds to our lives later. The time passed by and The Lord started using me in healing and deliverance to others. For many times people fell off on the floor by the power of the Holy Ghost and demons were rebuked in the Mighty Name of Jesus! Praise God

Some people saw That I had the ministry while others gossiped around ( with unbelief ) by telling the senior pastor that I was pushing people to the floor with the strength of my hands. But thank GOD it never kept me from doing GOD´S labor. Even today some incomprehensible people start talking and mocking at what they don´t understand and bla bla bla but do you know something ? The ealier you answer the calling the earlier you will get mature in faith to not let those things put you down. Today I can tell you that I really don´t care of what people say. My commitment is with GOD.

And you should do the same!
If GOD is commanding you to do something, Just do that.
Never get yourself so compromised with your fears that you won´t allow the Holy Ghost to move through you.

The little boy holding the 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish knew He would help Jesus to perform the miracle but maybe He never wondered of feeding a crowd.

What you have today, Even though being so little can be the food for a crowd tomorrow!

How to overcome an addiction ?

I often see people asking for help in many areas of their lives.  Alcohol and pornography are the ranking leaders.
People need to focus on GOD to overcome daily battles. But of course, as many strugglings you´ll have in this life the answer of them all are not going to be up only to GOD but also up to yourself.

I have some tips that can add a lot to you such as:

First:
REALIZING THAT WHAT YOU´RE DOING IS WRONG

There´s a difference between the true christian to the false one. The false christian doesn´t want to know of what is right or wrong. He just wants to do what He thinks what is right and that´s all.

The true christian who doesn´t know his rights in GOD often fall (that is a fact) but regardless his faith is always on binding his knees to GOD to recognize his faults. He cares about his spiritual life and career.

The fake christian daily sin and even hide of what he appreciates most: His sin. The true christian pursues to grow by somehow but he also lacks of knowlodge and fail.

If you realize that of what you´re doing it is wrong. Then you´re in the right track Jack! Everything you should do now is quiting your sin to live a truly life in Christ.

Second:
YOU MUST HAVE A STRONG FOCUS ON WHAT YOU WANT

How willing are you to acquire your breaktrough in GOD? Have you ever asked yourself to what you are willing to have in the future ? Many people don´t.

Many people usually see themselves locked into their past. They are unable to visualize a better future for their lives where sin is no longer a master upon their heads. They can´t see anything but destruction and desolated deserts for their poor souls.

While being a person with no focus on what you want, you can´t be anything better than what you really are now. So start focusing on your future by imagining yourself as a better man or woman! The present situations cannot be any bigger than the GOD you serve.

Third:
CHANGE YOUR MIND AREA

Thoughts are the key for your soul. Upgrade your spiritual system by downloading a new version of GOD´S power to your daily basis. This is the only way you can overcome the enemy and the old man. Your old man must be dead. The new man must be alive. And alive in GOD.

People want to be a better people. But how come will you be a better person without renewing your mind in Christ? (Rom 12:1-2). Every time You realize you have the Mind of Christ (2 Cor 2:16) the strongholds in your souls must be broken. Devils and fleshly strugglings must recognize Jesus Christ as the owner of your body.

Forth:
CONFESSION

Whenever you say:  “Man, I am nothing but a freaking looser”; you´re calling on disgrace upon your head. Whenever you say: “I will never overcome this situation”; devil starts mocking at you. Whenever you say: ” I am week and I cannot handle with that”; you´re declaring that your GOD is not GOD in your soul.

Hebrews 4:14 declares “ Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess.”

Profession envolves lots of things such as: Salvation, Healing, deliverance, Breakthrough and etc. Profession is developed when you decree that your monthly billings are payed in the name of Jesus when you don´t have a penny into your pockets. When an uncurable desease in your son or some other relative that you love are healled in the name of Jesus!

Devil cannot work in this kind of territory. Devil is always defeated on GOD´S realm! Choose today to be a victorious person by walking on truth and faith! Devils and fleshly desires are not bigger than the GOD you serve! You are the Righteousness of GOD in person. (2 Cor 5:21)

WHY DID DAVID TAKE 5 STONES TO KILL GOLIATH ?

I Samuel 17:31-40 says that the son of Jesse did not want to wear the armor of the king, and went to get five stones from the river to kill a giant.

But why did the young pastor use 5 stones to slay a giant ? He had already killed a bear and a lion with his own hands.

David was from Judah. He was equipped with Benjamites technics experts in a sling and He didn´t need as many stones for a single giant:

¹⁵And the children of Benjamin were numbered at that time out of the cities twenty and six thousand men that drew sword, beside the inhabitants of Gibeah, which were numbered seven hundred chosen men.

¹⁶Among all this people there were seven hundred chosen men lefthanded; every one could sling stones at an hair breadth, and not miss. (Judge 20:15-16)

When reading 2 Samuel 21:15-22 and  1 Chronicles 20:1-8 we can tell you that Goliath had 4 brothers. (He was the fifth) Ishbi-Benob, Saph, Lahmi, and a “Huge man”. All of those giants were sons of the Giant Rapha in Gath.

Rapha (hebrew word for GIANT), 2 Samuel 21:22, lived in Gath e had 5 sons (1 Chronicles s 20:8): Goliath (1 Samuel 17:23), Ishbi-Benob  (2 Samuel 21:16), Saph was  named as  Sippai in 1 Chronicles 20:4, and also as Saph (2 Samuel 21:1), Lahmi (1 Chronicles 20:5),  and the  “huge man”. He also was descended from Rapha and murdered by David´s soldiers in Gath.  (2 Samuel 21:20, 1 Chronicles 20:6).  This man was the ugliest one because he had 6 toes in each foot and 6 fingers in each hand.

According to the historical norms and rules of the civilizations in Israel, a law of war forced the champions of their respective nations to be present in the campaigns of conquest in neighboring territory.

It shows us that not only Goliath was present in the Philistine army militia over the Valley of Elah  in those days fighting against their oponent Israel but also his four brothers.

Goliath was a giant uncircumcised. Goliath had four brothers and uncircumcised with him too.

It tells us that David was there to kill not only Goliath but Four more giant brothers as well.
